ANKARA (A.A) - 26.04.2002 - The Constitutional Court warned the Grand Justice Party (BAP), Main Path Party (Anayol Party), Turkish Socialist Workers' Party (TSIP) and Justice Party (AP) as they had not held their first congress within the time limit foreseen by the Political Parties Act.
The warning decision of the Constitutional Court was published in Friday's Official Gazette.
In the decision, the court said that those parties had not held their first congress within two years after their foundation.
The court gave a six month period for these parties to correct the contradiction with the Political Parties Act.
If these political parties won't hold their first congress within this period, the Supreme Court of Appeals Chief Public Prosecutor will file a lawsuit at the Constitutional Court for closure of these parties.
