Bid Submitted To B.R.S.A. For Toprakbank

ISTANBUL (A.A) - 25.04.2002 - A consortium formed by Piraeus Bank of Greece, Templeton, Global Menkul Degerler (Global Securities) and Avrasya Yatirim Holding A.S. (Avrasya Investment Holding Corp) submitted a bid to the Banking Regulation and Supervision (BRSA) for Toprakbank.
Sending a statement to the Istanbul Stock Exchange (IMKB), Global Securities said on Thursday that the consortium formed by Templeton Strategic Emerging Markets Fund LDC, Piraeus Bank, Avrasya Investment Holding and Global Securities had submitted a bid to the BRSA for purchase of Toprakbank that was currently managed by the Savings Deposits Insurance Fund (SDIF).
