TOKYO (A.A) – 11.04.2002 - Turkish Airlines (THY) will increase the number of flights between Istanbul and Tokyo from two to four as of April 23.
Officials told A.A correspondent on Thursday that an important increase is expected in the number of tourists who will come from Japan to Turkey with the increase in THY's flights between Tokyo and Istanbul.
Officials said that the demands of passengers cannot be met sufficiently since there are two flights between Istanbul and Tokyo in a week and added that increasing the number of flights to four could respond more the passengers' demands.
The promotion activities will also intensify within the framework of ''Turkey year'' which will be held in Japan in 2003.
THY's flights between Istanbul and Osaka will also be made directly as of June 19 and this implementation will continue till October 12.
