Jewish Lobby In United States Visits Turkish Ambassador Logoglu

WASHINGTON D.C. (A.A) - 09.04.2002 - Representatives of Jewish organizations in the United States, paid a visit to Faruk Logoglu, the Turkish Ambassador to the United States, on Tuesday.
Releasing a statement, the Turkish Embassy in Washington D.C. said that representatives of the America-Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC), the American-Jewish Committee, the American-Jewish Congress, the Anti Defamation League, the B'Nai Brith International, the Jewish Institute for National Security Affairs (JINSA) and the National Conference on Soviet Jewry (NCSJ) had met with Logoglu.
The meeting focused on the recent developments in the Middle East, and relations between Turkey and Israel.
The statement noted, ''Logoglu held a very beneficial meeting with representatives of Jewish organizations in the United States. Participants had the opportunity of underlining importance and power of special relations between Turkey and Israel, and historical friendship and solidarity between Turkish and Jewish peoples. Also, participants stressed that Turkey, the United States and Israel should maintain their works to improve their joint interests, and added that Turkey should continue to expend efforts to settle peace, security and stability in the Middle East.''
