ASGHABAT (A.A) - 02.04.2002 - Turkmen President Saparmurat Turkmenbasi received on Tuesday State Minister Resat Dogru who is currrently in Asghabat for a three-day working visit.
Turkmenbasi said in the meeting that Turkey contributed a lot to the development of his country, adding that Turkish businessmen who undertook investments in Turkmenistan had great shares in various sectors.
Turkmenbasi said that Turkey's undertaking the restoration works of Sultan Sencer tomb in historical Merv city is very important.
State Minister Resat Dogru said in his part that the development of Turkmenistan carries great importance for the region, adding that the economic and cultural relations between the two countries are at perfect stage.
Dogru also submitted the invitation letter of President Ahmet Sezer to Turkmenbasi.
After the meeting, Dogru visited a hospital constructed by a Turkish company.
Dogru will attend a ceremony to be held in historical Merv city upon the starting of restortaion works of Sultan Sencer tomb on Wednesday.
