ANKARA (A.A) - 01.04.2002 - Foreign Minister Ismail Cem and Greek Foreign Minister George Papandreou discussed the Middle East issue during a telephone conversation on Monday.
Diplomatic sources said that Papandreou called Cem on the phone the same day and exchanged views about developments in Ramallah where the Israeli operation continued and other developments in the region.
Papandreu will go to Egypt this evening to hold contacts about the Middle East issue.
Papandreu is expected to come together with Egyptian President Husni Mubarak, Arab League's Secretary General Amr Moussa and other high ranking Egyptian officials in Cairo.
