ANKARA (A.A) - Felicity Party (SP) deputy presented Monday a question motion to Parliament Chairmanship regarding the tender given to Israeli Military Industries (IMI) company regarding the modernization of Turkey's 170 M-60 A1 tanks.
Fahrettin Kukaraci from the SP, in his question motion, asked National Defense Minister Sabahattin Cakmakoglu if it was right to give the modernization project to an Israeli company without opening a tender. Kukaraci asked Cakmakoglu if Turkey's preference of Israel had any strategic meaning. ''Is it true that Turkey is financing Israel which turned Palestine into a lake of blood, by giving this tank tender of 668 million USD to IMI?'' he asked.
Kukaraci asked if it's possible to cancel the tender by considering Turkey's foreign policy and Turkish nation's concern for Palestinians.
