Stara Zagora Patriarch Galaksion Visits Edirne Mayor Varnatopu

EDIRNE (A.A) - 01.04.2002 - Edirne Mayor Cengiz Varnatopu has said that all kinds of facilities for religious practices should be provided to the people.
Stara Zagora Patriarch Galaksion who came to northwestern Edirne province to visit Bulgarian church in Kiyik district in Edirne also paid a visit to Varnatopu on Monday.
Varnatopu said, ''all kinds of facilities for religious practices should be provided to people. The places where people live are their countries. Muslims living in Bulgaria should also have places where they can worship.''
Edirne Mayor Varnatopu stated that they were arranging the cemeteries belonging to Islam and other religions within the framework of ''respect to belief'' project which they launched in Edirne.
Varnatopu added, ''we are very pleased to put into practice this project. People from different religions can visit their relatives' graves easily.''
Galaksion congratulated him for launching that project and said that this project was very good.
