ANKARA, March 26 (A.A) - Red Crescent Director General Ertan Gonen said on Tuesday that they would send aid to Afghanistan that was hit by a 5.9-magnitude earthquake overnight.
Gonen told the A.A that they had requested the General Staff to allocate a plane to transfer the aid to Afghanistan.
He added that the aid would include blankets, tents, medicine and medical equipment.
More than one thousand people were reported dead after the powerful quake that jolted Afghanistan and northwestern Pakistan.
