ISTANBUL, March 21 (A.A) - Transportation Minister Oktay Vural said on Thursday that after his meeting with Afghan Communications Minister Abdul Rahim Saidjan, they had decided to send a delegation to Afghanistan to make observations for restructuring of telecommunication infrastructure.
Holding a press conference on the World Telecommunication Development Conference which started on March 18, Vural said that 1,200 delegates and nearly 40 ministers and highest level officials attended the conference.
Vural recalled that he had held bilateral contacts with communication ministers of France, Israel, Spain, Russia, Tunisia, South Africa and Afghanistan during the conference.
He said that they had discussed conditions of bilateral cooperation opportunities during those contacts.
Vutal said that he would have meetings also with some more ministers and ministers from Plaestine and Morocco during the conference.
Noting that the International Telecommunication Association would organize a meeting in September in Morocco, Vural said that they would expend efforts for Turkey's council membership to this meeting.
