Swedish Foreign Minister Lindh Calls Cem On Phone

ANKARA, March 21 (A.A) - Swedish Foreign Minister Anna Lindh called on Thursday Foreign Minister Ismail Cem on the phone and apologized for the words she uttered against Turkey at the United Nations (U.N) Human Rights Commission meeting.
Sources said that Lindh told Cem on the phone that ''she made a statement that overstepped the limit as a mistake'' and apologized.
The Swedish Foreign Ministry had told Turkish authorities that Lindh was sad about the mistake she had made by defining Turkey as ''dictatorial regime'' at her speech in 58th session of the U.N. Human Rights Commission.
