ANKARA, March 13 (A.A) - Prime Minister Bulent Ecevit on Wednesday issued a circular saying that the contributions which will be made from Turkey during re-construction process of Afghanistan would be carried out under the coordination of Foreign Ministry.
The circular said providing necessary coordination was important for the works that would be carried out by the international society as well as the works that would be conducted by public and private sector.
The circular said officials of concerned public institutions and organizations and representatives of private sector attended meetings held under the coordination of Foreign Ministry, and that a visit had taken place to Afghanistan within this scope.
The circular said Foreign Ministry held contacts with the officials of other countries and representatives of international institutions to determine contributions of Turkey during Afghanistan's re-construction process and necessary cooperation facilities within this respect. The circular said economic dimensions of Turkey-Afghanistan bilateral relations should continuously and regularly be evaluated under the light of political developments.
The circular said, ''taking action from the view that our contributions to the political and economic reconstruction process of Afghanistan should be coordinated from a single hand, I request all public institutions and organizations to pay the necessary attention, cooperation and support in order to maintain not only our bilateral relations, particularly political, military, commercial, agricultural, educational, and in fields of transportation, energy, industry, public works, contracting services, and health but also to carry out international activities.''
