Ecevit Reiterates That Turkey Does Not Support A Possible Operation On Iraq

ANKARA, March 13 (A.A) - Prime Minister Bulent Ecevit Tuesday once again reiterated that Turkey did not support a possible operation on Iraq, noting that ''Turkey still experiences negative effects of Gulf War.''
Ecevit, who spoke to CNN International, pointed out that there was not a need for an operation on Iraq, stressing that Gulf War caused loss in Turkey, particularly in economy field.
Speaking about the messages he would convey to the U.S. Vice President Dick Cheney, Ecevit stressed that any possible intervention on Iraq would give damage on Turkey's economy, tourism and entrance of foreign capital.
