ANKARA, March 11 (A.A) - The trial of Fethullah Gulen, a sect leader who was accused of ''forming an illegal organization with the aim of replacing the secular state structure with a new state based on religious rules'' continued at Ankara State Securtiy Court No. 2 on Monday.
The indictment requests heavy imprisonment of Gulen up to ten years.
Three lawyers of suspect Gulen participated in the court session.
Chief judge Eken said that Gulen, who is in the U.S. told American judiciary officials that he was faithful to Turkish Republic's state and that he didn't have any political goal. Eken said that Gulen denied the charges on him.
The court decided to write a letter to Security Directorate General to send the report about the investigation started for Fethullah Gulen.
The court rejected the request of the prosecutor to arrest Gulen in his absentia.
