Istanbul Chief Prosecutor's Office Files Lawsuit Against Perincek And Olcaytu

ISTANBUL, March 11 (A.A) - Istanbul Chief Prosecutor's Office filed on Monday lawsuit against Labour Party (IP) leader and Aydinlik magazine editorial writer Dogu Perincek and Emcet Olcaytu, the owner and editor-in-chief of the magazine, on charges of publishing e-mail messages of Karen Fogg, the European Union (EU) Commission's Representative to Turkey.
Sources told A.A correspondent that the Chief Prosecutor's Office prepared an indictment regarding Perincek and Olcaytu under the Article 525 of Turkish Penal Code which regulated the crime of ''using, transmitting and copying information, computer programme, data or other elements to harm a person'' and filed a lawsuit.
The sources said that the indictment asked for imprisonment terms between one and three years for Perincek and Olcaytu and for fine up to 15 million Turkish liras (TL).
