Mild Earthquake Jolts Iskenderun

ISTANBUL, March 11 (A.A) - A mild earthquake measuring 4.2 on the Richter scale jolted Iskenderun township of southern province of Hatay at 03:19 a.m. on Monday.
Istanbul-based Kandilli Observatory Seismology Institute told the A.A that the earthquake was centered on Iskenderun.
Meanwhile, an earthquake measuring 3.0 on the Richter scale occurred in Cay township of western province of Afyon at 00:14 a.m.
Gunhan Sarikaya, the head official of Iskenderun township of southern province of Hatay, said that 4.2-magnitude earthquake did not cause any casualty or damage.
Sarikaya said that two people who were shocked with fear, were treated in hospitals.
