ANKARA, March 8 (A.A) - Forestry Minister Nami Cagan will go to the United States on March 10.
A statement of Forestry Ministry said on Friday that Cagan would attend the Ministers Meeting of the second term sessions of the United Nations (U.N.) International Forum on Forest in New York.
The statement noted that Cagan would deliver a speech on the evaluation of the action proposals that were brought forth in international level within the scope of Rio Summit resolutions, national forestry programme and its implementation.
Cagan will return to Turkey on March 17.
High-level officials from U.N. member countries, forestry ministers, representatives of organizations operating in forestry will attend the forum.
At the Ministers Meeting of the Forum, the participants will discuss inclusion of forests into agenda of national and international policies, sustainable forest management finance, protection and use of forests, partnership and close cooperation on forests.
