ANKARA, March 8 (A.A) - A crowded delegation of businessmen led by State Minister Sukru Sina Gurel will leave for Afghanistan in March 11-12 to hold contacts pertaining to improvement activities.
A re-structuring program has been put into implementation to improve Afghanistan following the September 11 terrorist attacks in the United States. A conference had taken place in Tokyo in January 21-22, 2002 and it had been revealed that a 4.5 billion U.S. dollars aid package could be implemented.
The Turkish businessmen delegation led by Gurel will hold contacts in Afghanistan to get a share from the improvement activities in Afghanistan, to examine working and living conditions, and to get information about the improvement activities and re-structuring.
The delegation will hold contacts with Afghan Prime Minister, concerned ministers, representatives of international organizations like UNDP, USAID, World Bank, Asian Development Bank, Islam Development Bank, and some other institutions, officials and representatives chosen by the Turkish Embassy.
