E.U. Has Not Helped Turkey In Any Way

ISTANBUL, March 7 (A.A) - General Tuncer Kilinc, Secretary General of National Securtiy Council (NSC) said on Thursday that EU has not helped Turkey in any way.
''It will be beneficial if Turkey searches for a new formation that covers Russian Federation and Iran,'' said Gen. Kilinc in the symposium on ''World and Turkey'' held at the War Academies Command.
''EU does not regard positively the problems that concern Turkey,'' assserted Kilinc and noted that Turkey has to search for a new formation without forgetting the role of the U.S. in the world.
Professor Erol Manisali said in his part that EU would never isolate Turkey, but will never admit it, too adding that ''EU is a Christian club, we should not be hurt by that.''
Manisali stressed that there were many threats directed at the territorial integrity of Turkey, adding that Turkey and Russia have common interests with the Russian Federation to balance these threats.
