Turkish - Syrian Economic Relations

GEBZE, March 6 (A.A) - Syrian Ambassador to Turkey Muhammed Al-Bunni will attend a meeting entitled ''Turkey-Syria Economic Relations'' in Gebze Industrialists and Businessmen Association (GESIAD).
GESIAD Chairman Lokman Demir said they elected Syria as ''pilot country'' within the framework of the project ''trade with neighbours''.
Demir said a meeting would take place on March 20 where Al-Bunni would also attend, noting that they would search for facilities to increase exportation.
Pointing out that Turkey has very much similarities with Syria also in cultural sense, Demir said, ''we have reached a trade volume worth of one billion U.S. dollars after 12 years. We will exert efforts to increase this and provide high level relations. We will exchange views with the Ambassador to increase exportation.''
