ANKARA, March 6 (A.A) - Turkish businessmen, led by Foreign Trade Undersecretary Kursad Tuzmen, completed contacts in Iraq. The Turkish businessmen signed a contact worth of 300 million U.S. dollars.
The 24 million U.S. dollars part of the contracts, which the businessmen signed as a result of the contacts carried out in Baghdad, cover construction of electricity power plant, and 8.5 million U.S. dollars of the contract covered locomotive spare parts.
The businessmen said their visit was very important for Turkish-Iraqi trade relations, noting that the talks were very positive.
The Turkish delegation, who returned to Turkey on Tuesday night, met Taha Yasin Ramazan, Iraqi Vice President, Finance Minister Hikmet Al-Azzavi and nine Iraqi ministers during their 4-day visit, and discussed issues concerning the two countries.
