ISTANBUL, March 4 (A.A) - The curfew, which was announced in Esenler district of Istanbul on Sunday following the street fighting where one person died and many others injured, ended on Monday morning at 6:00 local time.
Security forces continue tight security measures in the region to prevent possible new incidents.
Two groups fought in Esenler district on Sunday throwing stones, fire bombs, and sticks against each other.
Nusret Ozcan (38) who was wounded in his heart died. Tuncay Unverdi (25) who was shot by the same gun was taken to surgical operation.
Nearly 25-30 persons were taken into custody.
Meanwhile, Hasan Ozdemir, the Istanbul Security Chief, said the incidents that occurred in Istanbul did not have any ethnical or political reason.
Ozdemir said security measures and their efforts would continue in the region till the incidents settle down in the region.
