STRASBOURG, Feb 22 (A.A) - European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) found Turkey not guilty in a case in which village guards in Southeastern Anatolia were accused.
Izzet Matyar from a village of Southeastern Sirnak province had applied to ECHR in 1993, and accused village guards of demolishing his house and burning his crop.
Matyar claimed that the village guards, with the support of security forces, burnt the crops and killed two people in a clash which erupted afterwards.
ECHR decided that they did not find any evidence that Turkey violated human rights.
