ANKARA, Feb 18 (A.A) - The five-member delegation of U.S. House of Representatives' United States-Turkey Interparliamentary Friendship Group who came to Turkey as the guest of Turkish Exporters' Assembly (TIM) met on Monday with Foreign Affairs Ministry Undersecretary Ugur Ziyal.
Issues such as Iraq, fight against terrorism and textile quotas were taken up at the meeting.
Meanwhile, while the U.S. delegation was holding contacts at the Foreign Affairs Ministry, a delegation from Iraqi Foreign Affairs Ministry also arrived at the ministry building.
Robert Pearson, the U.S. Ambassador to Turkey, described it as a 'coincidence'.
Foreign Affairs Ministry officials said that Iraqi delegation came to the ministry about former Undersecretary Faruk Logoglu's visit to Iraq.
Iraqi Foreign Affairs Ministry Turkey Desk Chairman headed the delegation accompanied by Tarik Hamandi, the Undersecretary of Iraqi Embassy in Ankara.
