ISTANBUL, Feb 15 (A.A) - A part of 42.3 percent of shares of Petrol Ofisi owned by the state will be sold by public offering.
Privatization Administration Board Chairman Ugur Bayar told a press conference on Friday that a part of 42.3 percent share of the state in Turkey's third most profitable company Petrol Ofisi would be sold by public offering.
The nominal-valued A group shares worth of 7 trillion 500 billion Turkish liras (TL) will be pushed to domestic and foreign markets by a consortium comprised of 25 organizations headed by Is Yatirim Menkul Degerler Inc. (Is Investment and Securities).
The preliminary bids could be submitted between February 27 and March 6 while the final bids had to be presented on March 13-14 and 15.
A total of 51 percent of shares of Petrol Ofisi was sold to Is Dogan Petrol Yatirimlari Inc. in July 2000. The state obtained 1.3 billin U.S. dollars of income from this block sale.
