BODRUM, Feb 14 (A.A) - Coast guard intercepted on Thursday 33 Afghans and one Turk who wanted to leave Turkey illegally in Bodrum township of western Mugla province.
Acting on a tip-off that a boat sank in Mazi village of Bodrum, coast guard boats detained the foreigners on the boat.
The foreigners said that water started to seep in the boat as it hit into the rocks and noted that they were rescued by coast guard boats.
The Afghans will be deported while the Turkish citizen will be transferred to judicial organs.
