State Minister Usenmez Leaves For Pakistan

ANKARA, Feb 14 (A.A) - State Minister Suayip Usenmez left on Thursday for Pakistan.
Usenmez will attend the 10th General Assembly of the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC) Scientific and Technological Cooperation Standing Committee and visit Turkish Export Products Fair.
Prior to his departure, Usenmez said that this meeting of OIC gained more importance in a period when developments that would bring European countries closer were experienced.
Usenmez said that 60 countries had joined the OIC Scientific and Technological Cooperation Standing Committee so far and noted that Turkey was acting as a bridge among Islam countries.
He hoped that his visit would contribute to developments for the peace and welfare of OIC member countries and the world, Usenmez added.
Usenmez will return to Turkey on February 19.
