Azerbaijani Fm Guliyev: Forum Would Hopefully Lead To A Mutual Trust And Peaceful Atmosphere In World

ISTANBUL, Feb 12 (A.A) - Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Vilayet Gulivev said on Monday evening in the OIC-EU Joint Forum Welcome Reception that the gathering of the OIC and EU foreign ministers will hopefully lead to a mutual trust and peaceful atmosphere in the world.
Stressing that Turkey has both an important status in the OIC, and it is also a EU candidate country, the guest minister told A.A that Turkey fulfilled its responsibility of bringing together the two organizations.
Noting that Turkey is a country which unites the east and the west and the two cultures, Guliyev said that the meeting can prevent the publication of news which don't tell right things about the Islam world following the terorrist attacks in the U.S. on Sept. 11.
