ISTANBUL, Feb 12 (A.A) - Foreign Minister Ismail Cem is expected to have 14 bilateral meetings on Tuesday during the OIC-EU Joint Forum meeting which brings together the OIC and EU representatives in Istanbul.
Cem will meet with German Foreign Minister Joschka Fischer, the Dutch Foreign Minister Jozias Van Aartsen, Syrian Foreign Minister Faruq Al Shara, Spanish Foreign Minister Josep Pique, Pakistani Foreign Minister Abdul Settar, Algerian Foreign Minister Abdulaziz Belhadem, Bangladeshi Foreign Minister Morshad Han, Egyptian Foreign Minister Ahmet Mahir, Malaysian Foreign Minister's special representative, Jordanian Prince Hassan, Jordanian Foreign Minister Mervan Muasher, British Foreign Secretary Jack Straw and COE Secretary General Walter Schwimmer.
Cem is expected to meet with Greek Foreign Minister George Papandreou and Iraqi Foreign Minister Naci Sabri on the second which is the last day of the Forum.
Diplomatic sources said that the number of Cem's bilateral contacts can increase in line with new demands.
Cem met with Yemenese, Iranian, Lebanese, Palestinian and Qatari foreign ministers and Kazakh agriculture minister on Monday.
