ANKARA, Feb 11 (A.A) - Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe Parliamentary Assembly (OSCEPA) Deputy Chairman Ahmet Tan who represented Turkey at the EU Parliamentarians Conference has said that Turkey had signed the Paris Declaration which is against money laundering on Feb 8.
Speaking at a press conference at Parliament on Monday, Tan stated that money laundering was directly threatening the security of democratic societies and the stability of the global economy.
He said that the authorities cannot effectively fight against money laundering without global cooperation.
The declaration also lists a number of sanctions that will be imposed on countries which don't sign the declaration.
