ISTANBUL, Feb 11 (A.A) - Palestinian Foreign Minister Faruk Kaddumi who is in Istanbul to attend the EU-OIC meeting asked EU countries to condemn Israel during the meeting.
Before his meeting with Foreign Minister Ismail Cem on Monday, Kaddumi told reporters that his country wants the participating EU countries to continue their support for Palestine and issue a statement that condemns Israel at the end of the forum.
Kaddumi accused U.S. President George Bush who recently made statements supporting Israel for ''not knowing what he does, having no purpose and being biased.'' Kaddumi also blaimed the Bush administration for ''killing innocent people in Afghanistan.'' He maintained that the United States was destroying all chances for peace by its recent policy.
Kaddumi declared that they were protecting Palestinian land under occupation and they would continue to fight for their rights.
When asked who would take over presidency from Palestinian leader Yaser Arafat, Kaddumi said ''Arafat is still our president and he will remain so as long as he is alive.''
