TASHKENT, Feb 8 (A.A) - Security measures have been intensified in Turkish Embassy in Tashkent, Uzbekistan on the eve of third anniversary of the bomb attacks in Uzbekistan on February 16.
The Turkish Embassy ask idendity cards from the visitors and request them to fill in a document. Visitors are permitted to enter the Embassy accompanied by the secretary of the person whom he/she wants to meet. This practice started ten days ago.
Press members are also asked to enter the Embassy after giving information to Turkish Ambassador Resit Uman.
Assailants tried to assassinate Uzbek President Islam Kerimov on February 16, 1999 and 15 persons died and more than 150 persons were wounded in the explosions.
