ANKARA, Feb 5 (A.A) - Labour and Social Security Minister Yasar Okuyan has said that Turkey had many enemies due to its geographical location and added that scientific research is the best answer to Armenian allegations of a so-called genocide.
A ceremony was held on Tuesday at the Labour and Social Security Ministry to commemorate ministry personnel Resat Morali, Tecelli Ari and Erdogan Ozen who were killed by the Armenian terrorist organization Asala.
Speaking at the ceremony, Okuyan said that Morali, Ari, Ozen and Foreign Ministry personnel who were killed by Asala would never be forgotten.
''It was Armenian terrorism in the past and today there is PKK and there might be another one tomorrow. Since we cannot change the geography of our land, we'll have many enemies if we continue to live on this land,'' he said.
Stating that the realities must be known against genocide allegations, Okuyan said ''They have no documents, but many allegations. Our universities and our state must speed up scientific research and follow up on this matter in the international platforms. We need to present those hundreds of documents to the world one by one.''
Another ceremony was held at Morali's tomb. Morali who was appointed as Labour and Social Security Deputy Undersecretary in 1978 was killed by Asala with religious affairs official Tecelli Ari on March 4, 1981.
