Cem: Turkey Is Ready To Help Iraq If This Country Abides By Un Resolutions

NEW YORK, Feb 4 (A.A) - Foreign Minister Ismail Cem has declared that Turkey was ready to help Iraq if this country abides by UN resolutions.
Cem had a half hour meeting with UN Secretary General where they discussed Iraq, Cyprus, Middle East peace process and Afghanistan issues.
After the meeting, Cem told reporters that Turkey had always recommended Iraq to comply with UN resolutions and allow the UN weapons inspectors to return to Iraq. He also underlined that Turkey was ready to help Iraq if this country abides by UN resolutions.
Responding to a question on the Cyprus conflict, Cem said he was ''cautious but optimistic'' about the developments.
