MOSCOW - Turkish State Minister Kursad Tuzmen said on Wednesday that Turkey and Russia would sign a cooperation agreement in fall with the aim of resolving problems in trade of fresh fruits and vegetables.
Tuzmen, who is currently in Russia on an official visit, met Russian Industry & Energy Minister Viktor Khristenko, who also acts as co-chairman of Turkish-Russian Joint Economic Commission.
Tuzmen said that Russia had lifted the ban on imports of 109 out of 136 Turkish products as of June 27th.
''Russian experts will come to Turkey on Thursday to hold talks with Turkish officials. Then, ban on the remaining 27 products will be lifted. Meanwhile, we will sign a cooperation agreement with Russia in fall to resolve the issue,'' Tuzmen added.
