Turkey - E.U. Joint Parliamentary Commission Members Leave For Greece

EDIRNE - Turkish members of Turkey-EU Joint Parliamentary Commission (JPC) went to Greece on Sunday to have bilateral meetings.
Speaking in a meeting in Kesan town of northwestern Edirne city before their departure, Aydin Dumanoglu, co-chairman of the Commission, said that the commission would have such a bilateral meeting with Greece for the first time.
Dumanoglu said that the improvement of the relations between Turkey and Greece would be useful particularly for the Thrace region, adding that ''we will have meetings with Greek officials for three days. We will seek for ways to make Turkish citizens enter Greece without any visas just like Greek citizens who enter Turkey without any visas.''
Kesan Chamber of Commerce and Industry Chairman Mustafa Helvacioglu said in his part that the meetings of the commission would be important for the country and the region.
