RIZE - Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan has said that Turkey would never accept imposition of nonexistent European Union (EU) criteria.
Noting that recent developments in the EU would not affect Turkey's EU process, he underlined that the country would continue moving on its way to EU with determination.
Asked whether he thought that EU process would be harder for Turkey, Erdogan underlined, ''this process is not an easy one. This process was not easy for the other countries. Turkey is a powerful country.''
''We will do what is necessary for the negotiation process. EU is a project for us to upgrade living conditions of Turkish people,'' Erdogan added.
