ANKARA, Jan 30 (A.A) - Turkey and Ukraine signed a cooperation protocol on Wednesday following Commercial and Economic Cooperation Commission Third Term meeting on Wednesday.
State Minister Yilmaz Karakoyunlu, who spoke after the meeting, said that Turkish and Ukranian delegations discussed commericail relations and discussed measures that should be taken in order to develop commerce and make it more balanced for both countries.
Karakoyunlu said that the two sides agreed to support business council meetings and participate in fairs in both countries in an effort to advance commercial relations.
Turkish and Ukranian delegations also exchanged views on natural gas pipelines and facilities to store natural gas. The Turkish side told the Ukranian officials that Turkish contracting companies want to participate in infrastructure and construction projects more actively.
The two sides decided to hold the first meeting of the agriculture commitee in Kiev in May this year.
They also agreed to sign a fishing and naval trade agreement in the shortest time possible.
Ukranian Deputy Prime Minister Valy Rohovyi thanked the Turkish delegation for Turkey's support to Ukrania's joining to World Trade Organization.

Ukranian Deputy Prime Minister Vasly Rohovyi has said that his country wanted to develop relations with Turkey in all fields.
At a reception hosted by the Ukranian Embassy in Ankara on Wednesday, Rohovyi said his biggest goal was to increase bilateral trade with Turkey and he listed the cooperation fields with priority as industry, mining, machinary, chemical industry, and energy.
Responding to a question about Turkey's tank modernization project, Rohovyi said ''We hope that the Turkish side would decide after considering Ukranian tank's all advantages.''
Rohovyi indicated that his country supported BLACKSEAFOR in all aspects since the group works to maintain stability in the Black Sea region.
He said he would work to bring a balance to the bilateral trade between his country and Turkey and he called on Turkish businessmen to make investments in Ukraine.
Responding to a question about pipelines, Rohovyi stated that Odessa-Brade oil pipeline had been completed but this pipeline was not competing against Baku-Ceyhan oil pipeline, and that two pipelines complemented each other to open to world markets.
