ANKARA, Jan 30 (A.A) - Foreign Ministry Spokesman Huseyin Dirioz said on Wednesday that the search for dialogue between Turkey and Greece should cover all the problems between the two countries and Turkey didn't exclude any of the peaceful solution methods.
Speaking in a weekly news conference, Dirioz said that he was pleased with the developments recorded in the relations between Turkey and Greece in the last two years.
''We stated that we were ready to take up all of the Aegean problems within the bilateral framework. We also noted that we could benefit from the peaceful solution methods mentioned in Article 33 of the U.N. Charter by reciprocal agreement. Therefore, we didn't keep out any of the peaceful solution methods,'' he said.
Noting that the issue of dialogue with Turkey came to the agenda again in Greece which stressed the need of dialogue in the recent days, Dirioz said that ''naturally the search for dialogue and solution should cover all the problems between the two countries.''
Greek Foreign Minister George Papandreou, who will meet with Foreign Minister Ismail Cem firstly in New York within the scope of the World Economic Forum meetings and in Istanbul within the scope of OIC-EU Forum meeting, had stated that the only problem in Aegean for Greece was the demarcation of the continental shelf.
Papandreou added that negotiations would start with Turkey soon to find a formula for bringing the issue of demarcation of the continental shelf in Aegean to the International Court in the Hague, adding that he had a telephone call with Ismail Cem to this end.
