Turkey Raises 1.3 Billion U.S.D. Through Exports Of Hazelnuts

TRABZON - Turkey exported 170,556 tons of hazelnuts and earned 1.3 billion USD in the 42nd week of 2004-2005 hazelnut export season which started on September 1, 2004.
According to the data released by Black Sea Hazelnut & Products Exporters' Association, Turkey actually exporting hazelnuts to 80 countries.
Turkey exported 139,458 tons of hazelnuts to the European Union (EU), 17,604 tons of hazelnuts to other European countries, 8,472 tons of hazelnuts to overseas countries and 5,022 tons of hazelnuts to other countries.
In the same period of the previous export season, Turkey had exported 194,241 tons of hazelnuts and gained an income of 748.8 million USD.
