ANKARA/SARAJEVO, Jan 29 (A.A) - Foreign Minister Ismail Cem held contacts in Bosnia on Tuesday within the scope of his official visit to Bosnian upon the invitation of Bosnian Foreign Minister Zlatko Lagumdzija.
Cem and the accompanying delegation firstly met with Lajumdzija. The two sides expressed pleasure over the existing bilateral relations and they searched for ways to revive the economic relations. Cem and Lagumdzija exchanged the documents on ratification of agreements on reciprocal encouragement and protection of investments and they also signed agreements on cultural exchange programme and consular affairs.
Lagumdzija voiced the importance Bosnia attributed to the EU-OIC Forum meeting that will be held in Istanbul between 12-13 February, adding that they would certainly participate in the meeting. The two sides also reached agreement on Turkey's repairing the children's hospital in Sarajevo.
Cem's scheduled visit to Turkish troop in Zenitsa was cancelled as Cem arrived late in Bosnia due to the fog. Lagumdzija thanked Cem as he came to Sarajevo in spite of the heavy fog.
After meeting with the Bosnian Presidential Council members, Cem will leave for Turkey.
Cem is expected to leave Istanbul for New York to attend the World Economic Forum meetings on Wednesday.
