ANKARA, Jan 25 (A.A) - Turkish Pipeline Transportation Inc (Botas) selected companies which will bid for the auctions that will be opened for construction of the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) oil pipeline project's part in Turkish territories.
Releasing a statement on Friday, Botas said that it had finalized selection of companies that would be invited to those auctions.
It said that all producer companies except pump producers had been invited to those auctions.
It said that it had decided to invite 13 companies from Brazil, Germany, Japan, Italy, Spain and Britain including three Turkish companies to the auctions that would be opened for the line pipes.
Five companies from Britain, Norway, the United States and Germany will be invited for the auctions for measuring units.
It said that it had decided to invite 13 companies from the Netherlands, Germany, Japan, Sweden, Belgium and France including eight Turkish companies to the auctions that would be opened for the fiber optic cables.
Thirteen companies from Germany, Czech Republic, Hungary, Italy, France, the Netherlands, Britain and Japan will be invited for the auctions for line valves.
It said that it had decided to invite 10 companies from Finland, Germany, Britain, the United States and France to the auctions that would be opened for the pumps and examination units.
A total of 1,070 kilometers of the BTC oil pipeline which will have nearly 50 million tons annual a 1 million tons daily capacity will cross from the turkish territories.
