TARSUS, Jan 25 (A.A) - A total of 45 members of the People's Democracy Party (HADEP) were taken into custody after holding a demonstration without official permission from the governor's office in Icel's Tarsus township on Friday.
The HADEP members gathered at the old Cumhuriyet Square, one year after HADEP Silopi Chairman Serdar Tanis and executive Ebubekir Deniz disappeared mysteriously.
Police interfered when the protestors wanted to read out a press statement and chanted slogans. Later the protestors were detained for holding a demonstration without official permission from the governor's office.
