MOSCOW, Jan 25 (A.A) - Consultative meetings between the Turkish and Russian foreign ministries on development of cooperation against terrorism were held in Moscow.
Sources said on Friday that ''measures against international terrorism threat had been taken up in detail'' at the meetings between the Turkish delegation headed by Foreign Ministry Intelligence Research Department Director General Cenk Duatepe and Russian Foreign Ministry officials.
The Russian Foreign Ministry said that the sides had agreed to make arrangements which would consolidate mutual dialogue on this matter at the United Nations, Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe, Council of Europe and other international platforms.
It said that the sides had also decided to consolidate their joint fight within framework of the cooperation memorandum against terrorism which had earlier been signed between the Turkish and Russian governments.
It said that those meetings had been held within framework of the joint action plan which aimed to develop cooperation and had been accepted by the Turkish and Russian foreign ministers during their meeting in New York on November 16, 2001.
The Turkish delegation was also received by Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Anatoli Safanov responsible for fight against terrorism.
