Mostar And Kayseri To Become Sister Cities

KAYSERI, Jan 25 (A.A) - Mayor Mehmet Ozhaseki of central province of Kayseri will leave for Bosnia-Herzegovina next week to sign sister city protocol between Kayseri and Mostar.
Releasing a statement, Ozhaseki said on Friday that Foreign Minister Ismail Cem would also attend the signing ceremony.
Noting that Kayseri would become a sister city with Mostar in line with the request of the Foreign Affairs Ministry, Ozhaseki said, ''the protocol will be signed in Sarajevo on January 29 within framework of Foreign Minister Ismail Cem's visit to Bosnia-Herzegovina. Later, we will proceed to Mostar. We plan to undertake restoration of a historical monument in Mostar.''
''Mimar Sinan who had been born in Kayseri, and his prominent bridge in Mostar set up a tie of friendship between Kayseri and Mostar,'' he added.
