Assassination Attempt On Iraqi Turkmen Front Chairman

ANKARA - An attack was launched on Iraqi Turkmen Front (ITC) Chairman Sadettin Ergec in Kirkuk on Wednesday.
ITC sources said that the attack was staged while Ergec was on his way to ITC Headquarters.
Ergec was not injured while 3 people were wounded when a car exploded in front of ITC building.
ITC Turkey representative Ahmet Muratli strongly condemned the attack.
Muratli told A.A correspondent that such attacks cannot intimidate Turkmens.
Ergec was elected as chairman of ITC last week by replacing Faruk Abdurrahman.
