Two Turkish Movies In IMDB's List Of World's Funniest Films

ANKARA - Two Turkish movies were chosen in IMDB website`s voting for the world`s funniest films.
``Hababam Sinifi`` (Hababam Class) which was directed by Ertem Egilmez in 1975 ranked the 3rd in the list obtaining 8.5 points over 10.
Another Turkish movie ``Tosun Pasa`` (Tosun Pasha) which was directed by Yavuz Turgul in 1976 ranked the 18th in the list.
``Hababam Sinifi``, based on a novel by Rifat Ilgaz, was so successful that a five-film series was produced right after the first one. Those are: Hababam Sinifi Tatilde (Hababam class on vacation), Hababam Sinifi Uyaniyor (Hababam class getting up), Hababam git Hababam gel (Hababam come`n`go), Hababam Sinifi Dokuz Doguruyor (Hababam class` hard times), Hababam Sinifi Gule Gule (Farewell to Hababam class). In year 2003, new producers gathered a new group of actors and shot ``Merhaba Hababam Sinifi`` (Hello Hababam Class) and in 2004 ``Hababam Sinifi Askerde`` (Hababam Class in the Army).
