ANKARA, Jan 24 (A.A) - The foreign exchange reserves of the Central Bank decreased by 139 million U.S. dollars between January 11 and 18, 2002.
According to the Central Bank's weekly bulletin, the Central Bank's foreign exchange reserves which were 18 billion 825 million U.S. dollars on January 11, decreased to 18 billion 686 million U.S. dollars on January 18.
Meanwhile, total foreign exchange reserves of banks and private finance organizations increased 383 million U.S. dollars from 13 billion 393 million U.S. dollars to 13 billion 776 million U.S. dollars as of January 4.
Meanwhile, the international reserves comprising gold reserves of Turkey and foreign exchange reserves of the Central Bank, commercial banks and private finance organizations increased 562 billion U.S. dollars from 33 billion 138 million U.S. dollars to 33 billion 700 million U.S. dollars as of January 4.
