Dunya- Enka has been chosen as the contractor to build a new international terminal at the Moscow airport.
OAO Terminal, set up by Russian flag carrier Aeroflot to implement the Sheremetevo-3 project, signed a contract with the Turkish company Enka on June 18 to act as general contractor for the construction of a new international terminal at the Moscow airport, at an estimated cost of $430 million, reported the Interfax.
Construction of Sheremetevo-3 should be completed within 26 months and the terminal should be launched in October 2007, Aeroflot General Director Valery Okulov said at a ceremony to mark the signing of the contract.
The Enka contract was signed following a tender, organized by the management company Bovis Land Lease. Invitations to participate in the tender were sent to 38 large Russian and international construction companies.
