Edelman Departs From Turkey

ANKARA - Eric Edelman, who resigned as the U.S. ambassador to Turkey, has departed from Turkey.
Sources from the U.S. Embassy said on Sunday that Edelman left Turkish capital Ankara for the United States.
Embassy Counselor Nancy McEldowney will serve as the acting ambassador till the new ambassador starts his post.
U.S. Embassy sources stated that the new ambassador would probably start his post in fall. It is expected that former U.S. ambassador in Baku Ross Wilson would be the new ambassador in Ankara.
